Ddakji Stars
A ddakji star is a chunky folded paper tile used in a classic flipping game. You make it from simple paper, then try to flip your opponent’s tile using skill, timing, and a bit of physics.
How to make one
STEP 1 IMAGE
Prepare paper strips
Cut or tear two long paper strips of equal width.
STEP 2 IMAGE
Fold triangles
Fold each strip into a chain of tight triangles.
STEP 3 IMAGE
Weave and wrap
Cross the strips, weave them together, and wrap into a square.
STEP 4 IMAGE
Lock and test
Tuck the ends in, flatten the tile, and try flipping it.
